About TAC
Theater Arts for Children

The mission of Theater Arts for Children is to make a
"Dramatic Impact in Children’s Lives".

In 1995 when the founding members of the board looked at the community we saw that so many children were not able to get parts due to their lack of experience. Next, we looked at how to make theater accessible and knew that there was a need for live theater in the Valley. We knew that we could be successful if we could give them another opportunity. We were fortunate enough to have those among our group to be able to put this together. TAC was founded for the purpose of giving others more opportunities to enter the wonderful world of theater. That need still exists today.

We want to give everyone the chance to experience live theater as actors, crew hands and as audience participants. We encourage Directors to cast children and adults new to the theater and new to our theater to work along side seasoned actors. We like to make the auditions easy. All we ask is that you read from the script we provide and do a little acting so the director can see your skill level. Even if a child is not at reading level we will make accommodations for them. If the play is a musical everyone is asked to dance and sing a short song. Our goal is for everyone to have a positive experience.

Theater Arts for Children promotes and strives to provide the greatest opportunity possible for all ages to participate and enjoy the benefits of live theater through the hands-on experience in the entire theater process.
